Take a look at our New Staff page. It will highlight a number of ways in which the TEL team can help you.

Login to Blackboard at vle.aston.ac.uk using your Aston username and password.

If you are having problems with your username and password please contact the IT Help Desk.

On the Welcome page, under the My Courses title you can see a list of modules available to you.

If you feel that you are missing modules from this list, please contact your program support team.

The Library has provided an Academic Staff LibGuide explaining the services available to staff and includes a section on editing and using Module Reading Lists.

You can also contact your Subject Information Specialist for help by taking a look at the Information Specialist contact page for more information.

You can record lectures in all pool teaching rooms.

For guidance on using Blackboard tests for credit-bearing assessments please contact the Quality Officer for your school. Details can be found on the Quality team website. Expand the “Who we are” section.

Before you deploy a test you are encouraged to contact the Technology-Enhanced Learning Team by emailing telsupport@aston.ac.uk.

By default, your Blackboard module is unavailable so you will need to Make Your Module Available to your students.

Requesting help & support

To request support, we ask that you contact the central TEL team. In most instances, the named learning technologist for your school will respond, however contacting the team instead of the individual means that we can provide you with a more reliable service.
