Students – how to script a video

This guidance focuses on how to write and practice a script which you can deliver direct-to-camera, like the presenter in a documentary. However, much of its advice is relevant to creating a script used to narrate a screencast.

You may be given a video assignment which requires you to talk directly to camera, for example to present your CV in French, talk about a topic in Spanish or deliver a group presentation in English. Whatever the language, this can be a daunting task if you have no experience of talking to camera, so this guide provides some guidance and tips to help you prepare.
